Pacific
Grove proudly calls itself "America's last home town."
Recent planning issues in Pacific Grove have included efforts to
preserve and protect the City's open space areas, and to prevent
commercial expansions that could damage the character of Pacific
Grove's unique residential neighborhoods. Historic preservation
is a key objective in Pacific Grove, as is providing new affordable
housing opportunities in a city with very little developable land
left.

Open Space Initiative Will Be Circulating Soon
Pacific Grove activists are seeking to put a measure on the ballot
that would restrict future construction in the "O,"
or "Open Space" districts within the City. This brief
