LandWatch reviewed the MOUs between the County of Monterey, Marina Coast Water District, and the Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency that went before the Board of Supervisors on Tuesday, April 28th. LandWatch is concerned that these MOUs are defined as “projects” under the California Environmental Quality Act or CEQA and the language in the MOUs reflect that, yet the agencies claim they are planning documents. LandWatch encouraged the agencies to delay action on the MOUs until requirements of CEQA are addressed.
The following document is the proposed MOU among the Monterey Regional Water Pollution Control Agency (MRWPCA), Marina Coast Water District (MCWD), and Monterey County Water Resources Agency (MCWRA).
